Like his good friend Robin Jackman, Jeremy Fredericks is a household name when it comes to South African cricket.
He’s been a stalwart of the SuperSport commentary team since 1998, and was inducted into the South African Sports Hall of Fame in 2008 for his work in the field.
A former teacher, Fredericks has also held numerous administrative positions across the country, including as a board member of Gauteng Cricket, where he served from 2006 to 2007.
He was on the board of Boland Cricket and the Cape Cobras from 2013 to 2017, and has served as the South African ‘A’ Team manager since 2018. In the same year he took over as manager of the Paarl Rocks, and led them to the Mzansi Super League title in 2019.
Along with that, Fredericks was a Cricket Brand Ambassador for Momentum between 2012-2017, and has served as a panelist for the South African Institute of Drugs and Sport since 2017.
He also represents the archbishop on the Board of Trustees of the Anglican Dioceses of Cape Town.
